2013: good and bad points

First I like to say that this has been a long year, It is assumed that this would be my best year as it is the year of the snake, which is the year of my birth, but This year i have a series of problems with and specific area of my life, my career.

At first the year departed in a very good way, because I could win an art competition to be held in Santiago, but after that I felt had lost the sense of the career, which I took artistic stagnation.

I felt I had lost the fate that sometime had so clear, was not the sense of doing things that have no importance to society. This led me to question the choice of this career, reaching the point of trying to freeze the year.

In one point I decided it made no sense to stay in that state, as it was not productive in any way, so I decided to go ahead. Fortunately I was able to talk to one of my teachers that I tended a hand, and gave me advice to keep the horizon in this area.

At the same time I offered to be her assistant, to help her with a chair that teaches at the same university, which opened new possibilities within the university and meet new people.

Now I feel that this year successfully finish in a good way, I am doing some of my new projects, and steps to finish my last year of university .

free post-my favorite sculptor

One of my favorite artist are the Australian sculptor Ron Mueck, he is an avant-garde sculptor belonging to hyper realistic current, an art movement emerged in the early '60s, whose techniques aspire to an almost photographic precision.

One of the major exponents of the moment is the sculptor Ron Mueck, whose sculptures reproduce faithfully the details of the human body, playing with scale to create images that shake us.

In the works of Ron Mueck imposing dimensions tend to contrast with the fragility of the moment depicted: the greatest figures usually coincide with the most vulnerable.

The people depicted, seemingly ordinary, motivate tenderness and solidarity of the viewer and at the same time will face the disturbing connection between the body and existence.

to Mueck is interested in working with the visitors  empathy, so their works attempt to become a deliberate zoom in on the world that surrounds us.

"Young Couple" is one of his works, and is probably the most controversial. This is a young couple, carved small size, which seems to share a confidence. This results in the viewer, sympathy and even certain feeling of nostalgic. However, viewed from behind, the picture becomes violent to warn the aggressive hand contact with teenagers.Mueck and test all possible reading codes and allows the viewer to set their own interpretation.

the cenotaph

Socially the barrier between life and death was blur in the way that grow the presence and influence of the deaths in our society; is the case of the cenotaph, popular know it in chile like “animitas, and belong to an a conmemorative building.with citizen character.

The cenotaph evidence the displacement  of the death space inside the city, like cementaries, to the streets. The “animitas” in our society are a gesture who mixed up memory, information with reality.  Emphasize the tale of a story and a remnant of this event, in just this place. Its easier for the society rememberto this way, in part, for awaken in the viewer .

The “animitas” are  an iconography, because  they have a power to tell us quickly stories, when we are in front of the “”animnitas” we know her meaning and whats happen in this place, a “bad death”. All those information  carry us to our own religiosity, this make it fell empathy with the suject commemorate,  this make it an a mediator with God.
